Nechirvan Barzani KRG Prime Minister who made an unannounced visit to Turkey to take part in a global economic meeting met Monday with Turkish Prime Minister Receb Tayyip Erdogan.

They highlighted developing the bilateral ties in every field.

The visit comes after the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has stepped up the attacks inside Turkey.

Barzani is in Turkey to “participate in a global economic meeting” due to be held tomorrow in Istanbul.

Turkey and KRG relations have been warming up since both sides have held talks several times concerning the PKK fighters’ issue.
