- Iraq's football team drew 1-1 against Jordan last night in the first round of group two in the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Iraq's Nashat Akram scored the first goal of the match 13 minutes in after receiving a pass from Iraq's Younus Mahmoud.

Before the end of the first half, Iraq's goalkeeper Mohammed Gasid mistakenly returned the ball to Jordanian striker Ahmed Hael to equalize after blocking a strong attempt at a goal.

The result gave Iraq one point after playing in a rival team's arena. The match was held at Jordan's Amman International Stadium at 7:00pm.
