A man was shot dead in front of his family in a village of Diyala province today morning and his house was later on exploded.

At dawn gunmen assaulted a house in Mahbubiyah Village of Abi-Sayda (18km west of Baquba)Police, Sarbaz and showered the house owner
Ahmed Nadawi with bullets, said police officer Ali Haidar.

Nadawi was killed while his wife and children were witness to his murder.

After his murder the gunmen also exploded the house of the victim while his family stood by watching, Haidar added.

"We are concerned about lack of security and stability and [failure in] protection of civilians' lives by the security forces," said Suhad Hayali, a Diyala Provincial Council deputy.

The Iraqiya List deputy continued the repetition of the terrorist operations "reminds us that the security state is much deteriorated and the security forces need to be investigated."
