Delegation of Kurdistan Region is attending the 56th Conference on the Status of Women Conference (CSW56), organized in New York by the United Nations .

The Kurdistan delegation includes Bakhshan Zangana Secretary General of Higher Council of Woman Affairs in Kurdistan Region , Dindar Zebari, assistant Foreign Relations Director for UN affairs and international organizations , and Florin Korkes Director General of the Divan of Higher Council of Woman Affairs.

Korkes in a press statement said that representatives of 193 states are participating in conference.

A noteworthy to mention , it’s the first time that Kurdistan Region participate in such a crucial conference.
