Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Daniel Rubinstein, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

They discussed ways to strengthen Kurdistan-U.S. relations, advance Peshmerga reform and unification, and the resumption of the Kurdistan Region’s oil exports. They also addressed resolving outstanding disputes between Erbil-Baghdad while underscoring the importance of upholding the Kurdistan Region’s constitutional and federal rights.

Regarding the formation of the next KRG cabinet, they highlighted progress in negotiations and agreed on the need to expedite the process to maintain momentum in the reform agenda and ensure effective governance and service for all of Kurdistan Region.

They also discussed regional developments, including Syria, and the broader geopolitical challenges.
