Kurdistan Region PM Masrour Barzani Meets DEM Party Delegation to Discuss Turkey Peace Efforts

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with a delegation from the Peoples’ Democratic and Equality Party (DEM Party) on Sunday to discuss ongoing efforts to achieve peace in Turkey.

The delegation, known as the Imrali delegation and led by Members of Parliament Siri Sureyya Onder and Pervin Buldan, briefed PM Barzani on the purpose of their visit and their initiatives to revive the peace process in Turkey, according to a statement from the prime minister’s office.

During the meeting, the DEM Party representatives expressed their gratitude for the role and support of Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani in promoting peace and stability in the region.

Prime Minister Barzani emphasized the significance of seizing opportunities to foster peace, strengthen coexistence, and enhance regional cooperation. He reiterated his firm support for the peace process in Turkey, advocating for an end to violence and conflict. Furthermore, he expressed the Kurdistan Region’s readiness to provide necessary cooperation and coordination to facilitate peace efforts.

The meeting highlighted the Kurdistan Region’s commitment to regional stability and peaceful dialogue, reinforcing its role as a key actor in efforts to resolve conflicts through diplomatic means.
