Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani has extended his congratulations to Joseph Aoun on his election as the President of Lebanon, expressing hope for Lebanon’s stability and prosperity under his leadership.
In a statement shared on X, President Barzani said, “I extend my congratulations to His Excellency President General Joseph Aoun on his election as president of the Lebanese Republic, wishing him success in leading Lebanon towards stability and prosperity.”
The President also emphasized the Kurdistan Region’s commitment to strengthening ties with Lebanon, stating, “We reaffirm our aspiration to strengthen cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and Lebanon in a manner that serves our mutual interests.”
