Ministry of Interior Delivers Advanced Fire Trucks to KRG Civil Defense
The Kurdistan Regional Government's Civil Defense Directorate has received 50 advanced fire trucks from the Ministry of Interior. These state-of-the-art vehicles are designed to enhance fire response capabilities and safeguard citizens' lives and property.
Sarkawt Karash, spokesman for the KRG's General Directorate of Civil Defense, highlighted the specialized features of the vehicles, making them ideal for handling fires in mountainous regions, urban markets, and along highways.
Each fire truck is equipped with a 700-liter water tank and 100 liters of foam, particularly effective in combating fuel fires.
The procurement, valued at 3.5 billion dinars, was funded by the Ministry of Interior's revenue. The vehicles will be distributed across provinces and autonomous administrations in the region.
This marks the second consecutive year of such an initiative, as 50 similar vehicles were provided last year, demonstrating the government's ongoing commitment to enhancing civil defense infrastructure.
