President Masoud Barzani Receives Russian Consul Maxim Rubin in Salahaddin
President Masoud Barzani welcomed the Russian Consul in Erbil, Maxim Rubin, today at the Salahaddin Resort, where they discussed regional political developments and the strengthening of bilateral relations.
The meeting focused on several key topics, including the current political situation in the region, the upcoming Kurdistan Parliamentary elections, and the relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the federal government of Iraq. Both parties also reviewed the positive outcomes of President Barzani’s recent visit to Baghdad.
Additionally, the discussion highlighted the historical ties and long-standing friendship between the Kurdish and Russian peoples, emphasizing the important stages in their mutual relationship over the years.
Russian Consul Maxim Rubin reaffirmed that the strong friendship and cooperation between the two nations will continue, regardless of the circumstances.
