President Nechirvan Barzani met with US Ambassador to Iraq Alina Romanowski this evening.

Their discussion revolved around the recent political and internal developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, Erbil-Baghdad relations, the upcoming Kurdistan parliamentary elections, as well as US relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

Both sides shared their perspectives on the significance of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections and the views and concerns of the various stakeholders. They emphasized the importance of resolving Erbil-Baghdad issues in accordance with the Constitution to safeguard the rights of all.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the threat of terrorism and other matters of mutual interest.
