Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, accompanied by a high-level Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) delegation, made a significant visit to Halabja province on Thursday morning. The visit marked the commencement of crucial infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the region's connectivity and public services.

Prime Minister Barzani commenced his visit at the Halabja Traffic Directorate, where he personally presented the inaugural number plate (23 A10000) to a resident of the city, symbolizing the launch of a new era in transportation infrastructure within the region.

In a poignant gesture, Prime Minister Barzani paid tribute to the martyrs of Halabja by visiting the Martyrs Monument, laying a wreath, and penning heartfelt words in the monument's memorandum. Expressing his honor to revisit Halabja, he prayed for the eternal peace of the martyrs and the swift recovery of the injured, while reaffirming the commitment to prevent such tragedies from recurring.

The Prime Minister's agenda also includes the laying of the foundation stone for a pivotal road project set to connect Halabja with Tuwaqut and Qlija. Scheduled for inauguration at 1 pm today, this strategic initiative aims to enhance regional connectivity and foster economic development.

Despite facing economic challenges, including the recent halt in crude exports, the current cabinet under Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has spearheaded numerous development projects across the Kurdistan Region. Noteworthy achievements include the construction of modern highways, bridges, dams, water refineries, schools, hospitals, and other vital public infrastructure.

Under Prime Minister Barzani's leadership, 13 new public hospitals have been established, bolstering the region's healthcare capacity to a total of 45 public hospitals. Additionally, the administration has prioritized the advancement of the health sector by establishing multiple health centers and installing 26 oxygen generation plants.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani's visit to Halabja underscores the government's unwavering commitment to enhancing infrastructure, promoting regional development, and ensuring the well-being of Kurdistan's citizens. The initiation of these transformative projects heralds a promising future for the region, characterized by progress, prosperity, and resilience.
