Kurdistan Region's Prime Minister Reports Significant Progress in Erbil-Baghdad Talks
In a meeting with guests visiting Erbil to attend the opening of the Barzani National Museum in the Barzan area, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, announced significant progress in talks aimed at resolving the longstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad.
During the meeting, Barzani expressed his pleasure at their guests' presence and coordination with the Kurdistan Region, stating, "We are very happy that you are friends of ours and are coordinating with the Kurdistan Region." He also highlighted the resilience of the Barzan region, which has been rebuilt 16 times following destruction, saying, "Tomorrow we will have an event to inaugurate a museum that reflects our history, and you have helped us build it."
Barzani went on to say, "It is a great honor to see Kurdistan moving forward," adding, "We have made significant progress in talks aimed at resolving the longstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad."
The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of the museum, which speaks to the history of the Kurdish people, noting, "Barzan has been rebuilt 16 times following destruction, so tomorrow we will visit the museum, which speaks to the history of our people and where we began and where we are today."
He thanked those who had helped in building the Kurdistan Region, saying, "Thank you for your cooperation, and most importantly, thank you for your ongoing friendship."
The opening of the Barzani National Museum represents a significant milestone for the Kurdistan Region, showcasing the rich and complex history of the Kurdish people. The Kurdistan Regional Government hopes that the museum will encourage greater understanding and appreciation of Kurdish culture and history, both within the Kurdistan Region and beyond.
