President Masoud Barzani sends message to Yazidi community on New Year
President Masoud Barzani has sent a message of congratulations to the Yazidi community on the occasion of their New Year (Red Wednesday).
In his message, Barzani expressed his warmest wishes to the Yazidi brothers and sisters, wishing them happiness and prosperity.
He also expressed his hope that the community would be able to celebrate their holiday in a safe environment, and that the suffering caused by terrorism, displacement, and exile would come to an end.
The Yazidi community has faced numerous challenges over the years, including the genocide perpetrated by ISIS in 2014, which resulted in the killing, enslavement, and displacement of thousands of Yazidis. Despite these challenges, the community has shown remarkable resilience and determination in their struggle to rebuild their lives and preserve their culture.
Barzani's message of support and solidarity with the Yazidi community is a powerful reminder of the Kurdistan Region's commitment to promoting peace, stability, and inclusivity in the region. It also underscores the importance of recognizing and celebrating the unique cultures and traditions of all communities in Kurdistan.
As the Yazidi community celebrates their New Year, Barzani's message serves as a beacon of hope and encouragement, reminding them that they are not alone in their struggles and that they have the support of the Kurdistan Region and its leaders.
