PM Barzani meets UAE delegation to discuss cooperation
Erbil, Kurdistan Region - On Thursday, April 13, 2023, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) led by Abdullah Nasser Lootah, the Assistant Minister for Competitiveness and Government Knowledge Exchange Affairs.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the strong bonds of friendship and the exceptional relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the President of the UAE, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, for their continued support of the Kurdistan Region.
The UAE delegation expressed their happiness to visit the Kurdistan Region, affirming that the Kurdistan Region holds a special place in the UAE leadership's heart. They also expressed their readiness to provide all forms of coordination and cooperation with the Kurdistan Regional Government.
The UAE has been a close ally of the Kurdistan Region, with numerous trade and investment agreements in place. UAE businesses have invested heavily in Kurdistan's energy, construction, and tourism sectors, among others.
The Prime Minister's meeting with the UAE delegation highlights the Kurdistan Regional Government's ongoing efforts to strengthen its economic and diplomatic relations with countries around the world.
