President Barzani Calls on Iraqi Government to Compensate Victims of Fayli Kurdish Genocide
Masoud Barzani, the former president of the Kurdistan Region, has called on the Iraqi government to compensate the victims and eliminate the effects of the genocide of the Fayli Kurds as soon as possible. Speaking on the 43rd anniversary of the genocide, Barzani highlighted the disappearance of thousands of Fayli Kurdish youth and the deportation and deprivation of hundreds of thousands of Fayli Kurdish brothers and sisters of their identity by the former Iraqi regime.
Barzani stated that the Iraqi government must do its duty in compensating the victims, resolving issues, and eliminating the effects of the genocide. He noted that the Fayli Kurdish brothers and sisters have suffered a lot in the Iraqi state and their only crime is being Kurds. Barzani added that the sacrifices and loyalty of the Fayli Kurdish people to their national cause and the Kurdish liberation movement always deserve respect and appreciation.
