Iraqi Parliament passes first reading of bill to establish Halabja province
On Sunday, the Iraqi Parliament completed the first reading of a draft law to establish the province of Halabja in Iraq.
The parliamentary media department said in a statement that "the Parliament completed the first reading of the draft law to establish the province of Halabja in the Republic of Iraq."
Earlier on Sunday, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen al-Mandawi, confirmed that the next session would witness the first reading of the Federal Budget Law.
The Parliament held its regular session on Sunday, chaired by the First Deputy Speaker, Mohsen al-Mandawi, and attended by 170 deputies. The session was scheduled to be held at 8:30 pm.
