Iraq and Russia have reached an agreement to exempt visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports, according to Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
The agreement was signed by Abd al-Rahman al-Husseini, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Administrative and Technical Affairs, and Elbrus Kutrashev, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, at the headquarters of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Al-Sahhaf stated that the agreement was aimed at enhancing the status of the Iraqi passport within the Ministerial Curriculum of the Iraqi Government.
This move is expected to facilitate and strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and Russia, particularly in areas such as trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.
