Gallup Poll Reveals Iraqi Kurdistan as the Most Pro-American Political Entity in the Middle East

In a recent Gallup poll, Iraqi Kurdistan has been identified as the most pro-American political entity in the Middle East. The polling group revealed that around 79% of adults in the Kurdish region approved of U.S. leadership, surpassing Israel's 67% in 2017 and 2018.

The report also highlighted that Kurdistan was a safe haven for minority groups, with 84% of residents saying their city or area was a good place for ethnic or racial minorities. This is a significant achievement considering the complex and diverse ethnic groups that make up the region.

Moreover, Kurdish security forces were able to control their borders with the rest of Iraq and deal effectively with terrorist threats, creating a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors alike.

However, the report also noted that residents in Kurdish areas were less satisfied with what they can buy and do, with only 45% expressing satisfaction compared to 72% in the rest of Iraq. This reflects the need for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to diversify the economy and increase non-oil revenues to improve the standard of living for residents in the region.

Despite this challenge, the KRG has made significant strides in recent years, with a focus on developing infrastructure, attracting foreign investment, and promoting tourism. These efforts have already yielded positive results, with the region seeing steady growth and development.

The Gallup poll results showcase the positive achievements of the KRG in creating a safe and welcoming environment for minorities and its strong pro-American sentiment. However, the challenge of improving economic opportunities remains, and it is important for the KRG to continue its efforts to diversify the economy and provide greater opportunities for its residents.
