President Nechirvan Barzani arrived in London on Sunday at the official invitation of His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom to participate in the state funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II. The President, accompanied by Iraq’s Ambassador to the UK, attended the reception hosted by His Majesty the King at the Buckingham Palace for world leaders Sunday evening.

President Nechirvan Barzani conveyed his condolences and the sympathies of the people and the Government of the Kurdistan Region to His Majesti King Charles III, the Royal Family, the people and the government of the United Kingdom, and to the Commonwealth of Nations.

For his part, His Majesti King Charles III expressed his appreciation to President Nechirvan Barzani for participating in the state funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
