President Nechirvan Barzani offered his congratulations to Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim on his re-election as the Leader of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement during a phone call today. The President wished him success and emphasized the strengthening of historic relations between the two sides.

The President also extended his congratulations to the new leadership of National Wisdom Movement for the trust they have won and wished them success in their duties of serving the people and the country.

The President highlighted the importance of collective responsibility and cooperation among all political factions and communities in Iraq to overcome the current difficulties facing the political process, underlining the need for continued dialogue and common understanding to resolve the lingering issues and correcting the political process.

For his part, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim expressed his and the leadership of the National Wisdom Movement’s appreciation for the congratulatory call from President Nechirvan Barzani, and lauded the long-standing and strong relations between the two sides, hoping that through cooperation and understanding among all parties, the current difficult situation in the country would be resolved and the country’s supreme interests bring everyone together.
