The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received, on Tuesday, Ann Linde, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.

In the meeting, Mrs. Ann Linde praised the friendship between the Kurdistan Region and her country, and stressed the importance of the role of the Kurdish community in Sweden.

The Swedish Foreign Minister praised the role of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces in the fight against the terrorist organization Daesh and praised the legendary destruction of the terrorist organization by the Peshmerga.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister thanked Sweden for its support of the Peshmerga forces within the framework of the international coalition against ISIS, discussed the reforms of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and worked to strengthen its economic infrastructure and diversify its sources of income.

In other parts of the meeting, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Anne Lind highlighted the situation in Iraq after the early parliamentary elections and the importance of resolving the immigration border issue between Belarus and Poland.
