PM Barzani welcomes new British Consul General to the Kurdistan Region
On Sunday, Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), welcomed David Hunt, the new British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region.
Welcoming the inauguration, the Prime Minister wished the new British Consul General success in his mission for further development of relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom.
The British Consul General expressed his gratitude for the coordination and cooperation of the relevant agencies of the Kurdistan Regional Government with the British Consulate and his country's readiness to promote comprehensive relations with the Kurdistan Region, especially in the field of investment.
He also praised the efforts of the Prime Minister to carry out the reforms of the ninth cabinet, especially the reforms of the Ministry of Peshmerga. He also reaffirmed the United Kingdom's support for the stability of the Kurdistan Region.
Relations between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government and the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections were another focus of the meeting.
