On Monday, the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, congratulates Muslims on the occasion of the Islamic New Year.

"On the occasion of the Islamic New Year, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Muslims of Kurdistan, Iraq and the world," Prime Minister Barzani wrote in a statement.

The Prime Minister added, "may God bless the New Year, the year of goodness and happiness, bringing peace and tranquility, and the end of the Corona virus pandemic in the world and the region."

President Barzani expressed his hope that citizens will adhere to health guidelines and preventive measures and protect themselves from the Corona virus.

Barzani added that "this celebration of the migration of the Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) encourages us to move forward in a more tolerant and natural spirit and peaceful coexistence between the various elements of the Kurdistan Region."

In the end, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government wished protection and wellness to the Kurds and all humanity.
