Turkish warplanes bomb mountainous area north of Dohuk
On Wednesday, eyewitnesses reported that Turkish warplanes heavily bombed the positions of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants in a mountain range in the Amadiyah district, north of Dohuk, Al-Ula News Agency reported.
Sorour Nehli, an eyewitness, said that "Turkish warplanes heavily attacked the PKK militants in the Zinkel mountain range, located in the Derluk district of Amadiyah district, north of Dohuk."
He added that "the attack lasted for about an hour and caused fires to erupt in the vicinity of the targeted area, without knowing the losses."
Turkish forces have been waging a military campaign for months against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) inside the territory of the Kurdistan region, and the two sides are engaged in intermittent battles, resulting in deaths and injuries in their ranks.
