Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, in which he congratulates the Muslims of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the world.

"On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Muslims of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the world, especially the heroic peshmergas and the local security forces, as well as the proud families of the martyrs and the Anfal," Barzani said in a statement.

"I hope the holidays are spent in a calm, happy and joyful atmosphere," he added.

The prime minister urged "the citizens of the Kurdistan Region to abide by the health guidelines and to protect themselves."
