A senior official in the Ministry of Peshmerga, Sarbast Lazgin, said that ISIS is active in many parts of the disputed areas, attacking Iraqi forces every night, and posing a serious threat, according to Kurdistan 24.

Lazgin said that the international coalition against ISIS believes that with good coordination between the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army, they will be able to overcome this threat.

Lazgin stressed that "the threat of ISIS is increasing in the disputed area, especially in Hamrin, Khanaqin and Golago," stressing that "in southern Kirkuk, Qarachoj and western Mosul, ISIS sleeper cells continue to move and their fighters continue to carry out military operations."

"ISIS fighters do this on a daily basis, which is actually dangerous," Lazgin added.
