No causulties as a result of missile attacks on sites in the city of Erbil and its suburbs, including a military base used by the US-led coalition forces in Iraq.

Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, called for an investigation into the missile attack, vowing to "account those responsible".

He added, "We were very much infuriated by the missile attack in the Kurdistan region of Iraq."

Rudaw News Channel reported yesterday that Erbil airport in Iraqi Kurdistan was closed, and passengers were evacuated from planes after the airport was bombed.

The Counter-Terrorism Service in the Kurdistan region said that a missile attack targeted the US military base at Erbil International Airport.
