Travelers received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine no longer need a coronavirus test on arrival: Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region decided on Tuesday to reconsider the preventive measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus with regard to the entry of travelers to the region.
Ministry spokesman, Aso Hawizi, said in a statement, "whoever receives two doses of the vaccine, and has a certificate proving this, is not subject to examination again when entering the region at border crossings or airports."
He also added "whoever conducted a laboratory examination for the virus 48 hours ago, no need to test again at border crossings or airports."
The health authorities in the region, during the past months, have taken strict preventive measures against travelers coming to Kurdistan through Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports or land border crossings to prevent the spread of the virus.
