President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, in a telephone conversation with the Governor of Duhok, Ali Tatar, expressed his sadness of the fire broke out at Sharya camp yesterday evening, and he reafirms readiness to help the victims of the camp.

A huge fire broke out on Friday at Sharya Camp in Dohuk, injuring a number of displaced people and causing extensive damage to the camp. The camp resides by the displaced Yazidis.

President Nechirvan Barzani reaffirmed his readiness and the presidency of the Kurdistan Region to provide all possible assistance to the victims and the camp, and to urge the relevant parties to provide all necessary assistance to them.

For his part, the Governor of Duhok thanked President Nechirvan Barzani for his contacts and follow-up, and briefed him on the latest developments in the situation of the people, the camp, and the steps and measures to be taken to deal with the situation.
