Iran: Vienna negotiations are not far from the point of reaching an agreement
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed his belief that the Vienna negotiations on reviving the deal on Iran's nuclear program are not far from the point of reaching an agreement.
"We are still at a distance from the point at which we can conclude an agreement, although we are not far from it," Araghchi said, in a press statement after a meeting of the committee to follow up on the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action of the Iranian nuclear deal in Vienna, on Wednesday.
He added, "Everyone will have the opportunity for several days to return to their capitals to discuss issues that are still in dispute and to discuss proposed solutions."
He continued, "We had a lot of discussions about the main disputed issues, and there are solutions for each of them, but they need to be considered and choose the best among them."
"We will continue the negotiations until the desired results are achieved and as long as our national interests are secured... We have made good progress in the negotiations, but the remaining issues are still issues without which no agreement can be reached and decisions must be taken," Araghchi said.
Earlier on Wednesday, European Union official, Enrique Mora, said he expected to reach an agreement with Iran during the next round of negotiations in Vienna next week.
