Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, Deputy Head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Erbil, welcomed a delegation led by Nasser Al-Rubaie, the head of the political board of Al-Sadr Trend.

The meeting, which was attended by a number of members of the party's political bureau, discussed the latest developments in Iraq in general, the political process, the upcoming elections, predictions for the future political plan in the country, and the future of Iraq.

Both sides agreed that, after eighteen years of the liberation process, Iraq was entering a new phase and situation, and that the needs of the current stage and the expectations and demands of the Iraqi people and its structures for the future should be taken into account, and that everything should be better for all.

It is also necessary for the parties and structures to reach a common understanding and to strengthen the partnerships and institutions of the state and to provide peace, stability and well-being to their citizens.

The guest delegation expressed their pleasure at visiting Erbil and their meetings and hoped that the cooperation between the Iraqi parties and structures, would make the present and the future of the country better in all respects.
