ERBIL - Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Thursday received Majid Hantush, Iraq's Minister of Electricity, in Erbil where Barzani reaffirmed his cabinet's readiness for joint electricity projects with Baghdad.

During their meeting, Barzani with Hantush shed light on the situation of electricity in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as the efforts to increase energy production in power plants, the premier's office said in a statement.

The Kurdish leader reaffirmed his government's readiness to cooperate with the federal government to implement joint electrical projects, reminding that Iraq has rich material and human resources, arguing that if they are well invested, they will have a positive impact on the lives of the people across Iraq.
