Arab League Calls on Turkey to Withdraw Forces from Iraq
ERBIL - The Council of Arab League has urged Turkey to withdraw its forces from Iraq and put an end to its "violation" of the neighboring country’s sovereignty.

The council made the statement on Wednesday during its 150th ordinary session held in Cairo, as reported by Iraqi News.

According to the news agency, the council in its communiqué, called on Ankara to "withdraw its troops from the Iraqi territories in implementation of the council’s resolution no. 7987 issued on December 24, 2015."

It further urged the member states of the Arab League to request Turkey "not to interfere in the domestic affairs of Iraq and stop its provocative actions that would undermine confidence-building and threaten regional security and stability."
