ERBIL - Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi called on President Fuad Masum on Sunday to ask the parliament to hold the first session as the May parliamentary election’s outcome has already been ratified.

Abadi has also urged the winners of the vote to rush in forming the largest block in the council of representatives in order for a new government to be built soon.

After a few months of political disagreements over the results of the vote results, the country’s supreme court ratified on Sunday the results after which the Iraqi premier thanked the Iraqi people for participating in the process.
