ERBIL — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani is scheduled to visit Turkey this week at the invitation of the Justice and Development Party (AKP).

The ruling party is set to hold its sixth congress on 18th August.

Turkish President who also leads the AKP, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has sent an official invitation to Barzani and dozens of other world leaders.

It will be Barzani’s second trip to Turkey this year. He attended earlier the inauguration ceremony of Erdogan.
