Hashd al-Shaabi Smuggle Oil in Kirkuk: MP
ERBIL - Pro-Iranian Hashd al-Shaabi militias are smuggling oil from Kirkuk province to Iran through the governorate of Sulaimaniya, a former Iraqi lawmaker revealed on Sunday.

"The militias of Hashd al-Shaabi have occupied the oil fields in Kirkuk, and according to sources, they smuggle the oil to Iran through Sulaimaniya, and of course the October 16 traitors are also involved in this," MP Amira Zangana said, referring to a certain group within the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) who has been accused of alleged collaboration with the Iraqi forces during the October 16 events.

She noted that the Shi'ite militias have also raided people's houses in the city and they have looted their properties, including jewelry, money, and private cars in some cases.

In October, last year, the Iraqi army and Iranian-backed militias of Hashd al-Shaabi overran the Kurdish disputed territories and forced the Peshmerga forces to withdraw from the area.
