ERBIL — The three terrorists who attacked Erbil governor’s office on Monday are all teenagers.

According to Kurdistan Counter-terror Directorate’s official Facebook page, the three men are from Erbil’s Qalati Nwe district.

They are identified as Rahel Mohammed Rostam, 16, Bilal Sulayman Abdulrahman, 18, and Rahim Qader Hussein, 16.

“The three assailants were high school students,” the counter-terror directorate said.

Early morning at 07:12 local time, the men broke into Erbil governor’s office after injuring one of the guards at the gate of the building. They were later killed by security forces.

One office employee was killed with five police and security personnel were injured.
