Turkey Claims It “Neutralised” 8 PKK Fighters on Kurdistan Border
ERBIL — The Turkish army claimed on Tuesday that it has “neutralised” eight Kurdish fighters from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the border areas of the Kurdistan Region.

According to a statement, the army had carried out airstrikes on positions of the Kurdish forces in Hakurk and Metina.

Turkey often uses the word “neutralised” to imply that the fighters were either killed or arrested.

Earlier on Monday, Ankara claimed that its army had killed 53 PKK forces over one week across the country.

PKK, however, has not yet made any official statement on the large number of fatalities claimed by Turkey.
