Iraq: Demonstrations Against Public Services Reach Dhi Qar
ERBIL — As a number of people in Iraq have lately started protesting against the public services, they reached on Tuesday the Dhi Qar province, said a security source.

The source said that the protesters blocked some streets in the provincial capital of Nasiriyah, making fire in the middle of the main roads.

According to the source, the citizens demanded access to drinking water, electricity supplies, and new roads in the province, and also job vacancies for the youths of the city.

Earlier on Monday, part of the people gathered in the streets in the governorate of Muthanna and Basrah, protesting the 'inefficient' public services, and demanding the current officials within the public offices to be replaced by local people, in which one protester was killed and three more were wounded by the security forces.
