Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – Upon invitation by President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani attended his inauguration ceremony in Ankara, alongside other world leaders.

Prime Minister Barzani met President Erdogan, during which he congratulated President Erdogan on his election as the President of the Republic of Turkey. They stressed the friendly relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey and the desire to further strengthen bilateral ties.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Prime Minister Barzani held a number of meetings with the former President of Turkey, Mr. Abdullah Gul, the Prime Minister of Turkey, the President of Sudan, the Emir of Qatar, the Prime Minister of Palestine, the Prime Minister of Tatarstan, the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the delegation of Montenegro, the delegation of Italy, the delegation of Azerbaijan, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Energy and Economy of Turkey and the delegations of a number of other countries participating in the ceremony.
