The visit by the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim to Erbil indicates the success of the Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani in diplomacy, said Chancellor for Kurdistan Region's Security Council Masrour Barzani.

Barzani made the comment to Kurdistan24 News Channel while accompanying the Turkish Premier and Kurdistan President's delegation to the Peshmerga frontlines on Zartik Mount on Sunday.

Barzani also stated that the visit by senior officials from major countries is also a sign of "appreciation and respect for the determination of the Kurdish nation as a professional player in the political procedures in the region as well as the battle against terrorism.”

The Chancellor for Kurdistan Region's Security Council added in their meeting, Kurdistan President and Turkish Prime Minister exchanged views over the bilateral relations, Ankara-Baghdad ties and the developments in the region.

After visiting with Iraqi Premier Haidar al-Abadi on Saturday, Yildirim headed to Erbil. His visit follows French President Francois Hollande's visit to Erbil by only a few days.
