Barzani Demands Elucidating Government Reforms to Public
ERBIL — Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani on Saturday demanded that the reforms that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has launched to be elucidated for the public.

In Pirmam District, northeast of Erbil, Barzani today chaired a broad meeting of KRG top officials and parties involved in the reform process.

Barzani stated that the meeting aims at evaluating the reform process and combating corruption in Kurdistan, creating wider coordination among the entire institutions for the success of the reforms and designing a method for following up and enforcing the necessary steps.

"It's true that the process has begun but there should be more coordination and the public should be regularly provided with details and get notified about the stages of the process", said Barzani.

In the meeting attended by KRG PM Nechirvan Barzani, his deputy Qubad Talabani, chairman of Board of Integrity, Ahmed Anwar, Attorney General Jawad Fatah Aghda and a number of other top officials from the Judiciary Council and Financial Auditing Council, the participants evaluated the process and its obstacles.

The parties at the meeting agreed to assemble again on January 16th to hear proposals from the related parties about the roadmaps and methods for coordinating the efforts.
