Salahadin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, (Kr.org)- President Masoud Barzani received a diplomatic delegation from the United Kingdom, the delegation was headed by Mr. Frank Baker, the ambassador of the United Kingdom to Iraq.

President Barzani and ambassador Baker spoke of the latest developments concerning the ongoing war efforts against the terrorists of the Islamic State. President Barzani acknowledged the support from the allies and expressed his gratitude, on behalf of the people of the Kurdistan Region to the allies, among which is the United Kingdom. The two sides also discussed the Munich Security Conference earlier this month in which President Barzani participated and held a number of important meetings.

President Barzani and ambassador Baker spoke of, among a number of other topics the relations between Erbil and Baghdad and they both hoped for more enhanced relations as we face this common enemy which poses a threat to the entirety of not only Iraq, but civilization as a whole.
