Car bomb wounded 7 in Kirkuk
A car bomb ripped through the Hozeiran neighborhood of Kirkuk city on Wednesday wounding seven people.

Sarhad Qadir, the police Chief of Kirkuk province told Rudaw that the “the incident was not suicide bombing,” the terrorists simply parked the car full of explosives in the neighbourhood.

At least 7 people including four police and three civilians were wounded.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

Kirkuk has been under the control and protection of Kurdistan's Peshmerga forces ever since the Iraqi army withdrew from the city in the summer of 2014 after Islamic State (ISIS) made rapid advances in the area following the fall of Mosul.
