Iran says 100 arrested over attack on Saudi embassy
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - The spokesman for Iran’s judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejehi, announced the arrests during his speech on Sunday, according to BBC Persian.

Ejehi said some of the people accused in the incident were recently freed, but a person who was responsible for arranging the protest is under investigation.

We are investigating “whether he and his followers were alone in carrying out the destruction or if others were involved,” he was quoted by BBC Persian as saying.

Saudi Arabia severed ties with Iran after an Iranian mob ransacked its embassy in Tehran on January 3. That ransacking was a response to Saudi Arabia's execution of Shiite cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr the day before.
