Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani met with the UK Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Frank Baker, in his office is Salahaddin today. The President and the UK Ambassador shared views on the economic crisis facing the KRG, the military campaign against ISIS, and the political situation in the Iraq.

Ambassador Baker offered his country’s readiness to advice the KRG in its efforts to tackle the economic crisis. President thanked the Ambassador and welcomed any assistance the UK could provide. He added that he has called on the KRG to urgently undertake measures to address the economic and financial crises in the Region.

On the military campaign against ISIS, the President said that the peshmerga forces are ready and will support the Iraqi Army in retaking the city of Mosul from ISIS terrorists.
