Salahadin, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, (Krp.org)- President Masoud Barzani received an Italian diplomatic delegation headed by Dr. Alessandra Di Pippo, the newly appointed Consul General in Erbil. During the meeting President Barzani conveyed his message of gratitude to the government and people of Italy for their support to the Kurdistan Region in the war against the terrorists of the Islamic State.

Dr. Di Pippo stated that the European community in general and Italy in particular highly appreciate the role of the Kurdistan Region insofar as the provision of care to the refugees and IDPs is concerned. She and President Barzani also discussed the bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Italy and hoped that such relations will only be further solidified and further strengthened.
