Coalition forces deny deadly attack on Syrian army camp
Damascus claims four jets from the US-led coalition carried out the bombing in Deir al Zor province, killing three soldiers and wounding 13 more.
But a coalition spokesman denies it struck the army camp, saying its operations were more than 50 kilometres away.
The Syrian government claimed nine missiles were fired at the camp, calling it an “act of aggression”.
It is the first time in the Syria conflict that the coalition has been accused of targeting government forces.
A monitoring group, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, earlier said the jets that carried out the strike were “suspected” to be from the coalition.
