Prime Minister Barzani conveys condolences at Consulate General of France
Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – Accompanied by a Kurdistan Regional Government delegation, Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani, yesterday visited the Consulate General of France in Erbil to express solidarity with the French people.

On behalf of himself, the government, and the people of the Kurdistan Region, Prime Minister Barzani strongly condemned the Paris terrorist attacks. He conveyed condolences to the French people, their government, and the President of France.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his sympathy to the families and friends of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

He also conveyed the condolences of Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani to the people, government, and President of France.

Prime Minister Barzani said that the people of the Kurdistan Region are united with the people of France, as France has always been supporting the people of Kurdistan during difficult times.

The French Consul General, Mr Alain Guépratte, expressed his appreciation for Prime Minister Barzani’s visit, saying that the visit highlights the strong and friendly relations between France and the Kurdistan Region. He affirmed that France and the Kurdistan Region will remain supportive of each other and friends.
