The aunt of Aylan Kurdi, the three-year Syrian boy washed ashore on Bodrun beach and his brother Galip, also lost at sea, has been speaking about her family’s grief from her home in Canada.

Tima Kurdi said her brother Abdullah believes some good will come from the boys’ deaths: “He`s so proud of them because of them the world is going to change in someway and refugees like me, myself will have hope,” she said.

As the world reacts in horror to the tragedy people took to the streets of Toronto to call on the Canadian government to accept more refugees to prevent any more unnecessary fatalities.
